To be honest, there are distinctive differences between the two designs though you can hardly notice it in just a single glance. As you can see, the old logo has been modified to become more mobile friendly and approachable according to its designers. Due to this slick change, facebook’s new look has now totally outgrown the logo’s goal in 2005 which is to be taken seriously. Indeed, the old logo has paved its way so the social network would be taken seriously by many.

This subtle change in facebook logo is quite necessary and in perfect timing as the social network is heading towards new sets of goals and direction. From the Klavika typeface that was originally used in the old logo to the newly improvised typeface used in the new design, facebook has a lot of new things in store for all the users in the days ahead. Facebook is definitely apt for a change since its new font has includes single-deck ‘a’ and a more organic stem on the letter ‘b’ and who would forget the widely recognized ‘f’ that would be left untouched. This is such a huge leap in facebook and people are now abuzz on what to expect next.
Nowadays, bashers are everywhere. Lurking around the corner, waiting for something to talk to about and condemn people in doing things outside the norms. So, when facebook launched the new logo, you would see postings or commentaries about the improvised design. While some people took the idea positively and acknowledged the efforts of the social network to make it better, others found the idea unappealing. You would see and read comments about the sudden change in the facebook logo mostly from twitter, Instagram and even through your facebook newsfeeds.
Everyone is fully aware that change is inevitable and nothing is really permanent except change itself. Change does not apply to people alone. Change is made for the betterment of everyone and in everything that can be found in this world. Innovation and technology plays a vital role with the way people live. No one can put a stop to anything worth improvising and this definitely includes the iconic social network commonly known as facebook as it aims to connect people around the globe until the end of time.
